Big Sur TourLet's go to Big Sur! the famously beautiful stretch of Pacific Ocean coastline. We include stops in Monterey & Carmel as they're along the way. The best way to see Big Sur (short of a day hike) is from the terrace of the legendary Nepenthe restaurant or from the Post Ranch Inn's Sierra Mar restaurant, one of Zagat's highest rated. (You choose which lunch option best suits you.) After lunch, time permitting, we take the short hike in Pfeiffer State Park to see the famous McWay Creek Waterfall dropping 60 feet into the Pacific.
Back in Carmel or Monterey, having stopped several times along the highway to photograph incomparable vistas, you can visit art galleries, an old Spanish mission church, historic Cannery Row, Clint Eastwood's B&B or a world-class Aquarium. Unlike with other companies, if the fog is thick and unrelenting, you won't spend hours peering through a gray mist: we'll seek out other activities for your enjoyment. We also can feature a winery visit or arrange for a walking tour by a local expert. No one lucky enough to see Big Sur on a clear day fails to say "Wow!" What will it Cost?Because each tour is designed to fit your interests, our fees vary. Basically you pay by the number of hours in your itinerary. We do not add the fuel surcharges, "license fees," "tax" and mandatory gratuities that many other companies do.
*These fees are for couples, groups of up to 6/7 people or solo travelers. For groups of 7 to 25 (whereby we charter a minibus), please ask for a quote. **A gratuity is customary and will be appreciated but is not required. Click Here to find out more about our Fees.
