If you love or are curious about John Steinbeck, one of America's greatest writers, you will want to experience the fascinating National Steinbeck Center in his hometown of Salinas. You may also want to lunch in the house of his youth.

We offer to connect you with a local expert on the Salinas Valley, the remarkable agri-business powerhouse and setting for The Grapes of Wrath. He often adds add wine tastings in the beautiful Carmel Highlands region.

Naturally we'll visit Cannery Row as well, and look around Pacific Grove, famous haunt of the monarch butterfly—because Steinbeck hung out there too. So it's a literary adventure, and learning about where your food comes from, magnificent scenery and charming towns… East of Eden.

What will it Cost?

Because each tour is designed to fit your interests, our fees vary. Basically you pay by the number of hours in your itinerary. We do not add the fuel surcharges, "license fees," "tax" and mandatory gratuities that many other companies do.

    *These fees are for couples, groups of up to 6/7 people or solo travelers. For groups of 7 to 25 (whereby we charter a minibus), please ask for a quote.
