Because you can sample artisanal olive oils or chocolates, observe one of only 3 "Old Faithful" geysers on the planet, visit a petrified forest or Safari West (African wildlife preserve) or the Charles Schultz Museum ("Peanuts" comic strip). Because wine-making is a major global industry…and don't you want to know how it's made? And what "terroir" and the other jargon mean?

Because there's a top-rated cooking school (Culinary Institute of America) in the middle of it all and you can observe a cooking demonstration (and taste the results), or explore their cookbook and cookware treasures.
