Tours for Groups of more than 7

For groups of 8 to 22 or so, we create itineraries and provide an expert guide for destinations and activities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Picture
We usually do not work with groups of more than 22 passengers: if this is your situation, we can sometimes suggest an agency which has the contacts and experience with handling large groups. A Friend in Town is not  a travel agent, so we do not book hotels or transportation (unless it's directly connected to a tour we're running) or arrange for meals that are not a part of your day/s with us.

Please note that wineries, museums, etc. may require one to three months' notice in order to reserve staff and space for your visit.  A Friend in Town, therefore, also prefers that you discuss your plan with us several months in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made. We'll ask that you provide us with detailed information about what your group hopes to accomplish and any special needs--plus a substantial deposit to secure your dates.
We usually charter a 9 to 25 -passenger minibus with large windows and fabric seats. Our drivers are licensed, experienced and friendly.
Some restaurants that we frequent can accommodate large groups comfortably, offering excellent food and efficient service. Of course, you may suggest your favorites.

Testimonials

"We especially enjoyed the behind the scenes Chinatown and all the wonderful information Jesse had on a variety of topics. My students and I learned a lot and had a great time. Thanks!  P.S. This was far and away superior to any other tour I have taken in the Bay Area!" -Peggy L. (El Paso, Texas)

"I am so glad we did the tour because it took us many places we would never have been able to go. The kids enjoyed it too. And several times since the trip we have heard..."And Mr. Jesse said,..." or "And remember when Mr. Jesse said that." -Diane & Chuck D. (Boca Raton, Florida)

"[The guide] thinks of all the members in the group--whether big or small--and makes the tour interesting to every age group."  -Priya & Gayathri S. (Temecula, California)
